Few people realize that glassblowing in the United States finds its roots just a few miles from John's studio, in historic Jamestown Virginia where the first glass furnace was constructed in 1608 - a dozen years before the pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock.
Embracing this proud tradition of one of the oldest crafts practiced in our country, John shuns mass production and continues to treat each piece as a unique work of art.
Constantly inspired by the rich tradition of his home, John continues to develop some of the most beautiful hand-crafted glassworks available today.
